Community Event – Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

   By registering for and attending this community event (physical or online), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not attend or participate.

2. Eligibility – 18+ Only

   This community event is strictly for participants aged 18 or older. By attending, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. No minors are permitted under any circumstances.

3. Code of Conduct

   This community event is a respectful, inclusive space.

   Expected behavior

   • Be respectful, constructive, and professional.
   • Respect differences in background, identity, experience, and opinions.

   Unacceptable behavior

   Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, bullying, or offensive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes conduct related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, ethnicity, religion, political views, or technology choices.

   Organizers may remove participants who violate this Code of Conduct immediately and without refund.

4. Recording, Photography & Media Consent

   Audio recording, video recording, and photography may occur during the community event.

   By attending, you:

   • Explicitly consent to being recorded, photographed, and filmed.
   • Grant permission for your voice, image, likeness, name, and statements to be used, edited, published, and distributed in any media format, worldwide, without compensation.
   • Acknowledge that this material may be used for social media, websites, documentation, promotion, and future community content.

   If you do not wish to appear in recordings or photos, inform an organizer. Reasonable efforts will be made, but complete exclusion cannot be guaranteed.

5. Assumption of Risk & Liability

   You attend at your own risk and assume full responsibility for:

   • Any injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation.
   • Your personal property.

   Organizers, volunteers, speakers, sponsors, and venue providers are not liable for any claims, losses, or damages, except where required by applicable law.

6. Venue Rules & Safety

   You agree to follow all venue rules, safety instructions, and directions from organizers and staff.

7. Communications & Data Sharing

   By registering for an event, you agree to be added to our community mailing list. You may receive:

   • Updates about upcoming events and community activities.
   • Information relevant to the event you registered for.

   You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each email.

   In some cases, your name and email address may be shared with event sponsors or venue hosts for purposes such as building guest lists, issuing visitor badges, meeting security or facility access requirements, or fulfilling non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). Your information will only be shared to the extent necessary to facilitate your attendance.

8. Event Changes or Cancellation

   The community event may be modified, postponed, or cancelled at any time. Organizers are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other participant costs.
